Likud are a terrorist group. Einstein and a bunch of Rabbis denounced them decades ago: https://archive.org/details/AlbertEinsteinLetterToTheNewYorkTimes.December41948

“Just as cruel as Hamas”… They have crossed that long ago. In fact, since they made Hamas, they already are crueler than it.
You can’t compare the two. One have committed many massacre and continue to do so. The other barley killed as much.
In fact news circulating lately suggest that some of those killed in October 7, might been killed by IDF.
… Regardless something need to happen to stop the killing, but for some reason even when people ask for that, they are labeled pro-hamas …

what news?
@Doorbook is most likely talking about the Haaretz report that the IDF helicopter at the festival allegedly shot some festival goers, possibly due to a controversial IDF rule.
Stop defending terrorists you right-wing shill.
Did you forget the /s, or just face palming into irony?
Friendly fire sometimes happens in war, especially in chaotic scenes like that one
targeting civilians
Citation? My understanding is that IDF claims they are targeting valid military targets and the civilian casualties are collateral damage. If you want to blame anyone for the hospitals being destroyed, blame Hamas for using them as bases.

You’re inappropriately conflating targeting hostages with collateral damage from targeting the terrorist. They’re not the same thing. Israel does the latter.
The opinion that one should let the terrorist keep shooting your people from behind their hostages because any reprisal is unacceptable is a very foolish take that encourages future hostage taking.
But the issue is that Israel is absolutely capable of executing this war while causing massively fewer civilian casualties, and their failure to do is intentional and deplorable.
And that’s not even taking account of the fact that Netanyahu’s government have encouraged the development of hamas for their own political means. This war didn’t happen in a vacuum, and Israeli colonialism is a significant factor in causing this crisis.
Israel is absolutely capable of executing this war while causing massively fewer civilian casualties
The alternatives I see to sending in troops with air support are, 1) Send troops in without air support into hostile urban guerilla territory, resulting in heavy casualties, or 2) Do not retaliate for Oct 7, encouraging further future attacks. What alternative do you have in mind that would cause fewer civilian casualties?
Netanyahu’s government have encouraged the development of hamas for their own political means
Yup, divide and conquer seems to have been a terrible strategy in hindsight, it appears he will be voted out soon because of this.
Israeli colonialism is a significant factor in causing this crisis.
Indeed.
I can’t claim to be an expert on military strategy, so I wouldn’t be willing to propose strategy.
But the ratio of civilian to military casualties is obscene, even for an urban warfare environment
If Israel had a leftist government then it wouldn’t exist.

This is the best summary I could come up with:
Spain’s prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, has urged Israel to rethink its offensive in Gaza, telling its president and prime minister the number of dead Palestinians is “truly unbearable”, and that the response to Hamas’s terrorist attacks last month cannot include “the deaths of innocent civilians, including thousands of children”.
Sánchez added that a comprehensive solution needed to be found that included “the establishment of a viable Palestinian state”.
He called for an international peace conference to be held as soon as possible, adding: “We need to achieve the establishment of a viable Palestinian state.
Relations between Spain and Israel have been fraught over recent weeks after some far-left members of Sánchez’s previous cabinet criticised Israel’s reaction to the terrorist atrocities, suggesting it was committing war crimes in Gaza and calling for Netanyahu to be brought before the international criminal court.
Israel’s embassy in Madrid described the remarks as “deeply immoral” and accused some Spanish MPs of aligning themselves with “Isis-style terrorism”.
Spain responded with its own strongly worded statement that accused the Israeli embassy of “spreading falsehoods” about some cabinet members.
