Even a huge subreddit like r/games (17 year old community with 1.1 million weekly visitors) is still heavily carried by a single poster, Turbostrider27

I think it’s fine for a single user to keep posting to their own/favorite Lemmy community even if it’s small. That’s the only point I’m trying to make with my post. Maybe I need to edit my post text to make this clearer?

my reasoning is people might feel self conscious frequently posting to a community, but this screenshot shows that even big communities do it and still get lots of people together (bots too of course, but also a lot of people)
I think it’s completely fine. Honestly, I got the idea you were going for instantly, and a Reddit community - being generally way larger than fedi comms - is probably the best vehicle to drive it home.
Plus I don’t think it’s practical, nor useful, to turn Reddit into the place that shall not be named here. That would feel especially awkward with the outrage generated every time a mention of lemmy.world is taken down over there.
Speak for yourself. I reserve hate for people who do me or my loved ones actual harm.
For me, Reddit is rather like an ex- who went another way in life, but I acknowledge we had some good times. I wouldnt date them again, but I might see them walk by (on a search result) and admire their butt …whilst being careful to avoid being drawn into the toxicity again.
