I think this meme is wrongfully gendered or at least implying so. An INvoluntary CELibate does not just mean “with women” (even if often the case). It can be with any potential partner, regardless of gender.
On another note, I would expect femcels and masccels to be subgroups of incels, but I understand it’s used differently, which I find irritating.
Thats… the extremely literal understanding of incel, which perhaps would have worked 5 to 10 years ago.
But we are now in the future where 5 to 10 years of massive association between the term ‘incel’ and ‘redpill’ and ‘misogynist’ and all kinds of other things has occured, so, its a very loaded term beyond its more intial meaning.
I’m trying to say I understand your frustration, it… isn’t as simple as strict categories… depending on context, incel or femcel is or could be basically a slur, but some incels also wear the term as a kind of badge of honor…
