Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Stellaris and other Paradox games are infamous for having stacks of paid DLC, and execs know this can be "off-putting".
It’s genuinely the reason I don’t get into them. It’s not even the price that stops me, it’s the sheer learning wall (because with that many it is no longer a curve) that is so clearly obvious, I just can’t in good faith let it in my life.
