If your net worth is a positive number, you are doing pretty good… that’s an intensely depressing thing to say, but it’s the truth in a lot of places.

My net worth is a substantially negative number at the moment, as I have far more debt than my assets are worth. I should be breaking even soon, maybe when I’m 45.

Why would people pay for somebody to take their net? Even if they weren’t using it at all?

But seriously, don’t ever take the fuckery your society does to you as a personal failure.

Fortunately, I’ve been an anarchist for a hot minute now, so I just see the whole deal for what it is. Deck stacked to keep us down, compliant, complacent.

It’s not my fault my education wasn’t worth much. It’s it my fault housing prices have exploded. It’s not my fault I can’t find work with my somewhat limited dreamer credentials. That degree was sold to me as a winner, not financial baggage.

Our societies are failing us, the lot of them. Some might be failing more slowly, but all are largely motivated by the same things and are subject to the same shortfalls. I wish we expected better and were willing to fight for it. En masse. But one person against the machine is just old man yells at clouds.

Punch line should be “It has holes in it”.

“That’s it” sounds like it’s not much, so he should try to explain why it’s not more.

    looks at bank account

    Uhhhhh…

At least that guy has a net. He can catch large number of fish, and then sell the fish at a farmers market.
