    You must first accept that the message conveyed is incredible. What the great modern philosopher there seems to wish to convey was the idea that acknowledging others is a pure trait, and it suggests a common human experience of having asexual dreams and regrets. It combines a philosophical notion of acknowledging fellow humans with an understanding that desire is smth we only save for others as we regret any desire that isnt for another.

While there are many other translations, the one I read says “The man who sees and acknowledges the attractiveness of others is a kind-hearted soul, for he is aware that few will do the same for him. But he takes solace in the knowledge that those who do will do so with a fiery passion.” - Proverbs 69:42 NGT
