I’m not sure why she gets so much hate. I enjoyed her character and season just fine.
I really liked her. She’s Star Trek royalty after all.

The actress, sure, but the character is a different thing. I’ve never seen anyone criticize the actress.
I don’t hate. I just disliked her character often. Not the portrayal, the writing. She seemed flippant for no reason.
Bones bitched and moaned when he was asked to extend himself a little beyond his lane, and seemed to be out of concern he’ll let others down. She seemed just annoyed.
But that wasn’t very often. And her heartfelt moments were very good.

Yea man, she gets a lot of shit. I don’t know if it was that she “replaced” Beverly or people didn’t like her being sarcastic like Bones. She is generally poorly received for whatever reason.
I was pretty young when it came out and I had the hots for Bev. My dislike was related to that lol.
She came across as abrasive. They were going for Bones but it didn’t work at all.
I just remember Pulaski being patronizing towards Data from day one, which was scripted and not up to the performer. However, even as a kid, I noticed the actress just seemed bored and tired in each scene, as if she just wanted to take a lunch or go home. It’s too bad, because I finally got to see her in her TOS eps and she was dynamite.
She seemed much herself, just as she was in ToS.
