One Nation’s rise is hardening Australia’s migration debate — shaping belonging for those inside and decisions for those outside.

I’ve had “discussions” with people who have fallen down the ON rabbit hole, this past week, they literally believe migrants are getting of the boat rocking up to their nearest housing auction and buying million dollar properties. It’s Australia’s version of the MAGA cult.

I’m definitely not arguing that, just that every article I see presents them as this super serious contender and everything. Maybe I’m just in denial and I refuse to accept it because they’ve been the racist asshole joke party led by the same idiot for literally my entire life.

They’re a serious contender in the same sense trump was. An orange racist bafoon who set out to “drain the swamp”. A ridciulous candidate who would only succeed if american politics had become psychotic. Except of course, it had become psychotic. That psychotic politics has come here

our government supported and participated in the genocide, and they deserve to be badly punished (at the ballot box) for it. If they hate ON then all the better

I understand your frustration, even fury, with our government but remember ON hate people like you and others of us who demand that the genocide stop. Under ON the pro Zionist boot licking would be on a completely different order of magnitude and hey, they would seriously consider giving Israel free islands as their patron, Gina, has recommended, on which to manufacture any and everything, including weapons parts (because weapons are the biggest source of income for Israel, surprise, surprise).

of course ON would be worse, that’s the whole point. It would hurt middle australians, it would hurt the top of town… it would be a disaster for everyone except for the shadow brokers in canberra and the foreign lobbies which rule the country.

What else would be capable of waking australians up to reality? they need to feel consequences personally before they start giving a shit.

I could write paragraphs trying to explain what a reactionary buttdump your whole comment is and how harming our vulnerable and destroying the social fabric of Australia in a slide to batshit stupid billionaire-couped fascism will not punish a government that did nothing while palestinians were being murdered - but you know what? I dont think you’re actually capable of comprehending it.

So just get in the bin.
