Thank god. Recently ate at a place that in fine print has a 4% surcharge added to the bill. They didn’t cite any reason at all. It’s basically just a way to false advertise lower prices.

I saw a place post a tiny quarter sheet of paper with like size 12 font summary in the corner of the store front. They don’t mention it anywhere else, but the POS system still has the tip option for you, and only then do they offer a receipt so you can see that you just paid 20% more Edit: I don’t recall if they even offered a receipt

The restaurant I went to the other day had this fee. When I saw the headline, I was like suck it restaurant. Of course there’s a carve out for healthcare. Looks like all the junk fees just became healthcare fees. What a joke.

When I said healthcare, I meant medical providers, to whom every single fee is hidden.

Restaurants cannot charge hidden fees because they say its for heath reasons in this law.

Ahhh. Supposedly the Biden administration is going after junk fees hard right now. Resort fees and carryon bag fees can fuck right off.

Fuck your “kitchen fee” or “buttplug fee” or whatever-the-fuck. Show me the real fucking price or i will fuck off to the supermarket.
