How often do you shave? How long does it take you? How do you do it?

Just curious as it feels like a chore for me. I usually do a with the grain shave with a safety razor and no product since I don’t have a lot of time and that gives the least irritation, but it’s not a close shave. I see guys that get stupid close shaves and I often wonder how much time they spend on it.

My great grandpa was Chickasaw and had no facial hair, my grandpa had no facial hair, my dad grows a tiny thin mustache, and I have an ok beard and mustache. I didn’t have to start shaving until my mid 20’s. I maybe trim up and shave twice a month now. But I also let the beard just stay at a constant length and shave around it then trim the mustache. Sadly where most people’s beard and mustache connect together that area for me is very patchy so I shave it.

I stopped shaving my face, and grew a beard. Trying to shave is always bad because I end up with bad razor burn. But I did find that removing those stupid glide strips helped reduce some razor burn.

For my head, I use a Freebird head shaver (the one with 5 heads). I should shave it every day, as it would make life easier. But, I end up doing it every few weeks. Instead of only using my head shaver for 5-minutes, I have to first use my Wahl clippers to get the “long” hair cut short enough for the shaver. This takes up to 30-45 minutes, and I still get razor burn. 😔 FML

Once every 2-4 weeks depending on how I feel. I use a crappy cheap electric shaver. I can’t use a blade due to a skin condition. I don’t time myself and afterwards, I wash my face with hot water and throw some dirt cheap Gillette gel on. I can’t use regular aftershave, only gel or lotion. Basically I hate shaving! 😁

It’s a chore for me. I use a beard trimmer and leave a constant 5 o’clock shadow because I’m 42 but look like a child when I’m smooth faced.

Electric razor. Takes me 5-6 minutes and I do it every day before I jump in the shower. Typically while in the shower I will feel if I missed a hair or something and I can go back to get it.

Today I missed a small hair on my cheek and it’s been driving me nuts all day.

I would just grow out a beard but I have very bad beard genetics so it’s better for me if I keep it clean shaven lol.
