A lesson he will remember for the rest of his life, for sure.
Most people fail to realize this kid just had his dad get killed during the warg attack
Sad… now he lost his dad and sword.
Was the sword his dad’s?
Doesn’t matter. Got an extra sword.
you know whats better than 2 swords… Hey Gimli! Let me see your ax.
Wait, I thought lances beat swords, and swords beat axes?
Sure, but you know what beats all three: two swords and an axe.
Guess what beats that? A Balrog.
Ooh. Good reference! Nice!
Maybe it’s a Swordbreaker axe, turn the triangle on its head.
Mans been holding onto it since back in the Prologue, probably has some Durability left.
And my axe! Wait 🤔
He needs to put points into two handed fighting though. Otherwise he’ll have a -6/-4 attack modifier. If he does though he should be able to reduce it to -2/0, negating it almost entirely.
Aragorn has points in everything. He has been a ranger for 85 years.
I’m going to be that person but what system/edition/game are you talking about? Points sounds like 2nd edition with the way they do specializations, the penalties sound like 3.5 or Pathfinder, -6/-4 isn’t one of the possible penalties though (and it would be listed -4/-6), two handed is usually a term to describe a two handed weapon not two weapons
Absolutely.
I’ve always thought those rules were mostly inspired by Aaragorn, of course. I think he’s also why we keep getting a ‘ranger’ class that never works quite right if balanced, or is overpowered.
