Former President Donald Trump may not show up to his arraignment in Georgia next week, according to two sources familiar with his plans.

Trump is considering waiving his arraignment appearance, which is scheduled for the morning of Sept. 6, the sources told CBS News. He is charged with 13 felony counts related to an alleged scheme to overturn the results of the presidential election in Georgia.

Nothing says “I’m innocent” to the future jury than not showing up to assigned dates and appointments

I honestly don’t see how it’s even possible to have an impartial jury in a case like this. The whole case is so absolutely polarizing, it’s doubtful anyone in the country possibly doesn’t know what happened and has some opinion about it.

They don’t need to be completely unknowledgeable about the case. I served on a murder jury with a fucking sheriff’s deputy who not only knew the generalities of the defendants case but the goddamn arresting officers (she raised her hand over and over to the questions during selection). Defense still seated her. Wasn’t a bad idea either since she and I were the only ones that took some time thinking about it in the deliberation.

I actually have one of the more notorious sheriffs in the country who likes to go on Fox News, so I wouldn’t recommend it. I don’t know how honest she was as a cop, but she was a fine juror.
