It will be interesting to see is Australia wages continue to decline and how far the can go when right next to China. It seems that the closer in proximity to a powerful socialist nation, the better you working conditions are as the capitalists have to compete with those conditions. Hell even on the other side of the planet the USSR affected the US worker conditions. They can use the anti-china narratives to prevent similar things from happening for now but when it’s on your own doorstep? When they look over and see Mexico having better working conditions and living conditions (IF Mexico went full on socialism and all that)?

It’s definitely going to be interesting to watch how the views of western public evolve as they see socialist nations continue raising the standard of living for the people while the west continues to decline.

I imagine the xenophobia, racism, and anti-communism rhetoric will ramp up to new levels as the fash start going masks off and liberals flock to them. Probably me being a doomed but I hold no faith in the majority of the American people going in any other direction. Maybe once the younger generations take hold but who knows.

We’re definitely seeing the propaganda ramping up now. Despite that, it does look like a lot of younger people see socialism as the future. I think part of it is that once people start losing faith in the system, then the propaganda starts losing its effectiveness as well. I do think that the right is currently more effective at organizing than the left unfortunately. The main job for communists today is to figure out effective messaging that helps people transition left from the mainstream.
