Relay never really was on my radar, but the article got me thinking about the effects of running as a team - you need to be in peak shape at the same time, you might stress out because you’re letting others down, but you also might have some psychological safety as part of a team, you’re working together but you’re also competing against each other for a spot in the quad… It’s probably part of every (pro-level) team sport, but as I see running usually from an individual perspective it’s especially interesting.
