I’m sure it would be possible to write a software that does that, without ai - and it would probably do it better/more reliably, too.

Maybe, maybe not. But even if there isn’t a chip that makes the fridge stop working when you do that, it would definitely void your warranty, so when the fridge stops working for some other reason later on, you would have to buy a new one XD

Thanks, didn’t realize that was a selection thing! … now I’m actually not sure if I should make my other question its own post, or just ask that here, too, though

They can program it in a way that means it will simply stop cooling your food if it doesn’t have internet(and/or if you haven’t given them permission to send ads to at least one other device) XD

I don’t know if that kind of fridge will do its job without internet, it might just stop cooling your food XD

I’d expect it’s probably not possible to unplug the screen without unplugging the whole fridge XD

Not sure if my question will be seen by anyone since this “weekly thread” is three weeks old, but I don’t see anywhere else to ask, so:
Why does it seem making a post anywhere on Piefed, even right here in this community, requires a link/url?
I could understand if it was just in communities for posting about news, but not here. Can someone explain?

Probably too late by now, but suppose it might be useful for others - my nightstand is just a wooden cube, with a shelf on the inside at half height. Was 150€ at the time despite being handmade in a nearby town, from solid beech wood.
I figure you could probably get something similar wherever you are, since the design is so simple.

Might be too late by now, but I have a mono filio and it works well. It’s one of two glass teapots(which I know of) that are 100% plastic free while also having a large infuser basket. The other one is the Bodum Chambord(specifically the glass-and-stainless-steel version), which might be even better because of how the basket is constructed(that is, it might let fewer little bits pass through), but I don’t have any personal experience to confirm or deny that. As far as I know, either one would just fit into your budget.
And yeah, I know that if you ignore the size of their filter/infuser baskets, there are plenty of other plastic-free glass teapots. But my recommendation would be to get one with a large infuser basket, and afaik that’s only those two.
