Agreed. I love tons of evil characters precisely because they are more interesting or they make the world more interesting. So many have more interesting motivations, more interesting developments, and more interesting dialogue than the hero roles they counter.

I think articles like this that are hopeful about a swing are detrimental because they placate people.

I hate this about dogs. Especially when the owners are standing there with a slack leash like “Oh sorry about that! Down boy down!” and it is obvious the dog doesn’t have any idea what that means or has intention to listen. Train your fucking dogs people, especially to not mess with anyone that’s not you.

I don’t hate dogs, I do mostly like them as other people’s pets. But I hate when owners don’t train their dogs. Dogs need training. Don’t get one if you aren’t going to train it.

A few things here:

The business decides its hours, as OP stated. People shop because it’s open. The store isn’t open because they shop. Many businesses are only open 9-5 as an example.

Some people prefer working weekends and take them specifically. Just like some people prefer nights, swing shift, or days. It takes all kinds.

Government banning business on a particular day is an overreach and is usually just religious people making demands that others live their religious laws instead of any good will intentions.

If someone grabs a bottle in an altercation, you don’t wait for them to use it.
