It’s not even primitive, just communism. The idea that peoples without civilization are held back or stuck in the past is a problematic worldview as well, and doesn’t hold up well with the archeological evidence either.

There’s this dumb culture on feddit.org/c/ich_iel called “Zangendeutsch” where they translate very badly from English. So they translated “Lemmy” into “Lass mich” which just means “let me”.

It started many years ago on reddit and for a short while it was actually funny. Alas Germans have the worst sense of humor and decided to keep it going forever.

Social Democrats

Germany has a social democratic party, called the Greens, but they did not sign the coalition agreement. The author means the Social Democratic Party of Germany, which is a conservative-liberal joke. Kinda like Labour in the UK.
