  • I’m not sure this is really from 1955. The Adidas the dude on the left has on is showing a style of outsole that, while could be found in the early and mid '50s, wasn’t mass-produced until 1959 or even 1960. He’d have to have been an Adidas rep or known someone really high up in the company. And frankly I doubt that is the case here. He would have to have either been living in Germany or close to someone that was. And if the later is the case, international shipping would have been rather difficult. And while I’m not decrying his stylistic choices of dress, I am skeptical that a high ranking Adidas professional would have been accepted if this were the look they came to work with.

  • You know how a lot of computers use windows? And a lot are macs? And there’s a difference between the way you have menus and apps and stuff? Linux is a third way to use your computer. But there’s a lot of versions of it. It doesn’t matter what kind of computer you put it on either. New, old, windows, Mac, mini computers, old laptops. Linux is simply another way to use your computer. It’s really cool if you’re into that kind of thing.

  • Right now, Hyperion by Dan Simmons. I’m reading it because a couple of friends, a cousin and I do a little bookclub podcast. We do speculative fiction. We take turns picking a book then nerd out about them. This was Will’s pick. Last pick was mine, it was the first three books in the Hitch Hikers Guide trilogy.

After this, I’m pretty sure I’m going to re-read The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. Its been dozens of years since the last time I read that.
