One thing that the EU did that I wish we had in the US was to choose a clearly distinct set of names for legislators at the member state and central level. The EU has MEPs at the central level and MPs at the state level. We have a variety of terms, but it’s frequent to do things like confuse state senators and federal senators.
Also don’t confuse the European Councile with the Council of the European Union
The real trick comes in distinguishing between the European Council, the Council of the European Union, and the Council of Europe.
Bonus points for distinguishing between the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Justice, the latter being part of the former.
They should really give them better names
