I hope this fits the community, I noticed that compared to the lemmy.world community this one doesn’t mention memes in it’s name

I hate to break the vibe, but friendly kisses (yes, on the mouth) were a thing in USSR. Usual people did that - fathers and sons, friends, etc. You could see that in the movies as well, which, if it was sexual, wouldn’t get to any screen.

It’s only right that the Glorious People’s Government distributes brojobs to everyone in a non gay way, to reflect Russian values of totally straight dudes sodomizing each other for solidarity while staring lovingly into each other’s eyes

I stopped hanging out in the queer circles in my city because they wouldn’t quit making jokes about me fucking my best friend even though I told them how uncomfortable it made me and demanded in no uncertain terms that they stop. I think at one point I called one of the women there a ghoul.

I would love to feel comfortable expressing affection to my male friends without it being cast into some sort of perverse fantasy by ghoullish onlookers. I love my friends enough to kiss them, and have occasionally, in privacy. But the whole thing has been poisoned by perverts who think they can do no wrong. They suggest that opposing their flagrant sexualization of platonic love is some sort of homophobia. Like, no bitch, you’re just addicted to yaoi and smut books. You’re a sex pest.
