Ive always done this because I figure 2 seals are better than 1. Now im wondering if this is weird

    Do not do this. The inner seal is meant for 1 time use. Once broken it only serves as a way to trap germs from your hands and keep them in your food. Always fully remove the inner seal once its broken.

    It is actually recommended that you don’t leave it on there as it leaves more surface area in the container for contamination or bacteria to grow.

    This is what I thought, but in all cases it’s wrong. (At least that I’m aware of)

    The middle seal, once broken, only gets in the way of the main seal (top one) from creating a perfect seal.

      I’m in North America and I’ve seen large yogurt containers, meant for multiple servings, with two lids like in the picture. Tubs of sour cream are similar.

      For single serving yogurt, I’ve only seen ones with just foil lids.

    Wait, how big are these containers? 300-400-500ml? We eat those in one or two servings in my country, so they rarely aren’t used up in maximum a day. No need to ever reseal.
