I printed a towering and ever-growing stack of these, which are also my own design (plug, plug). This assemblage is screwed to a wall in my closet. It’s also got a smattering of flashlights and some other gadgets in and on it. In addition to that I have a ton of my adjustable Gridfinity drawers just below which are mostly kitted out with my adjustable insert bins.

I posted a picture of all this some time ago. Hang on.

    Here it is:

This is under crap lighting, and also now noticeably out of date. But you get the idea.

I chuck them all in a cheap plastic bin (approx 6 quarts or 5.6 liters) that sits on my dresser. I sorta keep all the same brands “together” but the moment I go fishing for a different knife, it all gets jumbled up. It’s sort of a LIFO system and the knives at the bottom of the pile rarely get used. Of course, remembering to put them back is also a challenge which is why I have 8 sitting on my desk right now instead of back in the bin where they should be.

Not a great system, not even a good system, but a system none-the-less.

Everytime i need to use a knife there should be a knife nearby. Otherwise I have not enough knifes.

I -just- printed some Gridfinity bins to store the few pocket knives I have in my desk drawer in an orderly fashion.

But now I have the problem of storing the extra stuff like that Buck knife leather holster… Do I print another bin, or do I simply throw everything in a box labeled “knife stuff”? 🤔

If you use a knife to cut a knife hole, it is now a knife hole cutter, and the hole is now a knife hole cutter hole. And if you use the knife hole cutter to cut the knife hole cutter hole, you are then using a knife hole cutter hole cutter to cut a knife hole cutter hole cutter hole.

    Cheers.

On whatever surface or bag pocket I place it on/in.

Now whether I remember any of those places… Lol.

My favorite general use one is in my purse, my favorite chunky razor style is with my camping gear, and my favorite dagger is on my outdoors bag.

No idea where my 30 others are and I figure I’ll find them in some box or bag or another. I know I placed a few of the mid tier ones in different survival gear bags…

They’re just sitting on a shelf right now. I was thinking about getting some kind of case for them a while ago, but instead I started thinking, “maybe I actually want to get rid of a few of these,” so I decided to wait.

Similar, but far more janky. I have a balsa wood box of similar profile wiþ super cheap aluminum hardware wiþ tiny tack-nails barely holding it togeþer; I’ve forgotten þe provenance. I cut out foam inserts for it and þe end result is like yours only cheaper in every way. It’s only survived so long because of infrequent use. One of þe hinges came off once and I Gorilla Glued it back on.

Being wood, it looks kinda nice; it’s þe only benefit.
