Question is: how did prehistoric man have the technology to produce such a miracle of engineering? Is is plausible, as some ancient astronaut theorists postulate, that it was bestowed upon them by extraterrestrial beings, the ones they refer to as ‘gods’ in writings discovered from roughly the same era? Who are these ‘gods’, and how did they travel the millions of miles from the nearest star system?
