You’re asking the wrong person lol you need to ask one of the older hexbear users, I consider myself a LG user (which is why I use this account) and I also have only had an account on Hexbear since May anyways, I just think it’s a funny emoji. when I’m using hexbear emojis im opening up hexbear on another tab, clicking reply to some comment or post, searching for the one I want, and the copy and pasting it over to the comment I’m making on LG
I do not want authoritarianism
begging you to read the Jakarta Method, but I’ll give you a quote from it if you won’t! (also, read On Authority by Engels please it’s so short)
This was another very difficult question I had to ask my interview subjects, especially the leftists from Southeast Asia and Latin America. When we would get to discussing the old debates between peaceful and armed revolution; between hardline Marxism and democratic socialism, I would ask: “Who was right?”
In Guatemala, was it Árbenz or Che who had the right approach? Or in Indonesia, when Mao warned Aidit that the PKI should arm themselves, and they did not? In Chile, was it the young revolutionaries in the MIR who were right in those college debates, or the more disciplined, moderate Chilean Communist Party?
Most of the people I spoke with who were politically involved back then believed fervently in a nonviolent approach, in gradual, peaceful, democratic change. They often had no love for the systems set up by people like Mao. But they knew that their side had lost the debate, because so many of their friends were dead. They often admitted, without hesitation or pleasure, that the hardliners had been right. Aidit’s unarmed party didn’t survive. Allende’s democratic socialism was not allowed, regardless of the détente between the Soviets and Washington.
Looking at it this way, the major losers of the twentieth century were those who believed too sincerely in the existence of a liberal international order, those who trusted too much in democracy, or too much in what the United States said it supported, rather than what it really supported – what the rich countries said, rather than what they did.
That group was annihilated.
we all are comrade

Still it hurts, can’t you stroke our egos more like normal liberals do by pretending we’re important enough for China to pay attention to us like that

@CriticalResist8@lemmygrad.ml you should add this as the text for the post
you and me don’t actually get to determine who is or isn’t white, maybe you werent aware of this but for awhile the fucking Irish weren’t considered white, slavs are not actually considered truly white by our ruling class
sinophobia mostly, think people who breathlessly watch the “china will collapse in 2 hours!?!?!” clickbait videos every time it pops up in their recommended and believe it every time
Come on this was one of the more pathetic attempts at trolling ive ever seen, at least use accounts older than a day
Np! Another thing is that you can’t actually ping people with your post text, you can only do it in comments
That’s a user from hexbear, they have 100’s of emojis like this
Welcome comrade!
Hey to tag people you need to make sure you choose their name from the dropdown menu when you start typing @x… so it looks like this in your editor [@yogthos@lemmygrad.ml](https://lemmygrad.ml/u/yogthos) which goes to @yogthos@lemmygrad.ml when you actually post the comment
