I would much prefer a coöp commonwealth economy and a democracy with ranked choice vote, a mixed member proportional legislature, and a council of department secretaries as executive branch.

My issue with other socialist is that Leninists will never give up power for “the state to wither away” and anarchists are too allergic to any form of struct even if it is an entirely voluntary confederation style system.

I’m an anarchist, I’d be all in for helping manage a federated co-op structure.

Managing is literally the easiest part. Finding someone to volunteer for shit shoveling duty is a lot harder.

Managing means shoveling shit if no one else will.

              That’s what management should be.

Amen. That’s a position I fully agree with. It’s not one most people who manage stuff agree with.

Manage in the “make it work” sense, not the “boss people around” sense. Collaborative.

Well, OK, but a manager without the authority to tell other people what to do is just a consultant.

Sure, if you want to go with a narrow definition like that

“Definitions” are irrelevant, I’m talking about practice.

It’s all well and good to talk about collaboration, until you start trying to accomplish something practical in the real world and then everybody just does their own thing, nobody does anything they don’t want to do, and none of the actual hard work gets done.
