You should properly introduce Lemmy to Neil the Seal. I foresee a new favorite.

Edit: I before e except after Neil, or something.

I before E except after C, and when sounding like “A” (as in neighbor or weigh), and on weekends and holidays and all throughout May, youll always be wrong no matter what you say

Neil hates the conservative party in Tasmania, who ironically are called the “Liberals”

The “Liberals” in Australia are conservative cunts, who have done a huge amount of harm to this country

Given the track record of liberals here in Canada, this idea is not news to me. Fuck libs, they’re just “nicer” conservatives.

That silly “liberal vs progressive” shit isn’t a thing here

When I hear someone decrying “liberals” (apart from criticism of that shitty political party) it’s inevitable that it’s someone getting their politics from social media who has zero understanding about what they’re pontificating on

(I live in regional Australia, not a place famous for big thinking…)

It isn’t discussed here but thats because we have no progressives and people think the liberals are progressive for some reason. Its not much better then the USA’s party situation.
