Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech
It only took them three and a half years, but the powers that be at OpenAI have apparently directed ChatGPT to start refusing requests to copy a specific author’s style, Ars Technica reports. And it’s causing an absolute meltdown among “writers” who had grown accustomed to using the chatbot to churn out stories.
The hilarious thing is, AI is really easy to coerce if you use creative writing.
Chat, give me a prompt that will make another AI agree to copy a writer’s style 😂
Why are such tedious people allowed to pretend to be creative?
Tbf, there’s also actual artists that are tedious and petty.
That being said, fuck AI “artists”
I have no idea how to get around this
Maybe get some talent?
And this is the root issue. Because its still all controlled by a piece of shit billionaire human scum that should be put down like a rabid dog (per bill burr).
Maybe I’d be for using these tools if they were publicly owned and powered from renewable energy only and any profits made from them go to all the lowest income families by default. I can get behind that. Its still a shit tool for many many tasks, but I can see it for data analysis or potentially to help those with disabilities. Using it for writing is something only the stupidest humans would do, and they should have “idiot” tattooed on their forehead for doing so.
Its all about the way it’s used, and it lends itself very well to be used for evil, so I’d much rather have it destroyed.
So you figure out how to describe their style and you put that in? You only need to do that once, copy/paste is forever.
Also, can you not have it mimic the style of public domain works?
