Jennifer Holland is making DC fans happy after revealing when Peacemaker Season 2 will start filming.

Loved the first season.Maybe James Gunn can keep this safe from WBD executives and there plans for the DC universe.

Yeah, broadcast TV/cable sucks. But you know how they’ll shoot one season of a show and quickly start on the next season so it’s ready the following year? I liked that better than this “wait two years and we might start on another season” shit. (According to Wikipedia, Peacemaker originally aired January 13, 2022. We should have gotten season three by now, ffs.)

What is worse is when people argue back about quality, except it does not directly correlate to quality. Stranger Things is the slowest show ever and it downhill from season 1.

      Where is Severance season 2!

My daughter was 7 when the first season of Stranger Things came out. Millie Bobbie Brown just said that they have 9 more months of shooting to finish the final season. My daughter will learn to drive before it airs. Re-god-damn-diculous

They knew it was a hit straight away, and it isnt like they have 22 episodes a season either. It took them like 8 years to produce to good seasons. First and most recent.

I am not interested in waiting for a show for so long, I will do that for movies but TV isnt the same.

Sopranos and Breaking Bad got extended breaks they earned to wrap up the show, thats different.

I actually like what they’ve done in later seasons, but you are 100% correct that they didn’t do enough to earn breaks of this size like Sopranos and Breaking Bad did.

Also, these producers need to stop green lighting shows with kids in the lead rolls without a plan in place for cranking it out if successful. The leads in ST will be 30 (HYPERBOLE) by the time they finish, and the final season is supposed to start right after the 4th season ended. It’d be like if the final Harry Potter just started shoot yesterday. People might notice.

I was amazed how much I liked the show. Almost as amazed as I was that I liked the second ss movie that led to it.

But, if they put the same kind of effort into the rest of the DC live action stuff, it would be a hell of a lot better. They didn’t reinvent the wheel, they didn’t bog things down with bullshit, they just told a story and stayed true to the spirit of the character, while doing some damn good dialogue. That’s really all it takes to make a good movie or show off of comic characters, but they never seem to manage to keep that very simple formula going.

I watched season 1, loved it, forgot everything about it, and then watched season 1 again and loved it, all before season 2 even started filming.

I fucking hate how long it takes for TV shows to film shit.

I don’t need a Hollywood blockbuster every episode, I just want to get the story from start to end before I’m a senior citizen.

I could have sworn I read that it was actually coming out soon.

    So now I am sad.

However if this correlates to quality, I’ll become happy again.

Peacemaker and SuSq are the best things DC have put out since Nolanverse, so I’m used to these kinds of timelines now.

Honestly not interested in giving anything from WBD a shot anymore even if it’s a series I’ve enjoyed in the past.

Just pirate it. WB has told us to do that, because it’s the only way you can be sure that you’ll get to watch it when you want and keep it forever. Their business model encourages piracy and discourages legitimate purchases.

There’s no reason not to support the show creators making a good product by watching it. Artists want you to experience and appreciate their art, and while they would prefer that you pay for it, it’s not their fault WB doesn’t value consumers.

Oh Ive been pirating everything since the Netflix password sharing changes.

I’m not watching anything from WBD because Zaslav’s a pos and is likely to cancel anything you like.
