It’s interesting that the US now probably has more enemies than it has had any other point in its entire history. It’s almost like somebody changed something.

I’ve said this about Musk before, and I wonder if Trump is going there too.

Essentially, you are an egomaniacal psychopath with unlimited resources, yet you have come to accept that you cannot have everything your little heart desires. Especially being immortal.

So since you are already one of the most important and noteworthy people on earth, history needs to accurately document the magnitude of your presence. Obviously!

But now is not the time to get all touchy-feely. You know damn well that destruction and chaos are quicker and more efficient ways to make your mark than creation and harmony. It is difficult to make history for curing cancer, and it is way easier to do it by telling somebody else to tell their people to go do some war crimes.

Can someone please ask Trump to define what a hemisphere is? Please, for the love of God. We all need a good laugh.

It’s named after the marketing logo on the back and sides of some unreliable “stellantis” vehicles.

I know all about the combustion chamber shape, but this hemi thing has become purely a marketing tool at this point.

Like “TRD”. What seller would brand their products with the word “turd”?

He’s referring to the Western Hemisphere, not the Northern, per the “Monroe Doctrine” that they’ve been going on about lately. It’s some of that manifest destiny kind of bullshit that insists that the entire Americas, Greenland, etc. must be under the US sphere of influence.

You can leave it all behind, and sail to Lahaina just like the missionaries did so many years ago…

They even brought a neon sign, “Jesus is coming.” They brought the white man’s burden down, they brought the white man’s reign…

And you can see them there, on Sunday morning, stand up and sing about, what it’s like up there. They call it Paradise, I don’t know why! Call some place paradise, kiss it good-byyyyyeee…

Whoever combined the words “western” and “hemisphere” was a moron of epic proportions with no understanding for spherical geometry.

Spheres can only be sliced one way?? Is that some geometrical definition previously unknown to maths? It’s quite obvious what is meant when western hemisphere is said, you’re either stupid or being deliberately obtuse.

The problem isn’t the spheres, the problem is the use of a relative direction with a hemisphere. Even though I have since learned that someone actually came up with a generally valid definition of the “western” hemisphere, the definition of longitude 0 (prime meridian) is completely arbitrary. From fascist 'murica p.o.v., Russia is “the west”

They mean the western hemisphere, as another user said down the thread, this is because of the Monroe doctrine. But yeah, maybe implicitly they also mean the northern as well.

And Europe/EU and the UN let them as shown by the lack of consequences they faced. Heck, they didn’t even get a “strong condemnation” by a bunch of people in power. They actually got PRAISE for what they did

How exactly are you going to stall them once they’re in full conquest mode? Both Germany and Japan conquered areas multiple times as large as their own country, they were suicidally determined about it and they completely brutalized many of the areas they conquered. I don’t see that suicidal determination in the US right now, but the US military can conquer a lot of countries before the US population even notices a difference.

I think we’d see a legitimate secession / civil war moment if Trump started invading countries for real without authorization from congress. The fear of that might also help a midterm move … I’m more and more afraid he’ll find a way to cancel / stop / postpone the elections

That wouldn’t be an extremely bad idea considering that the UK’s nuclear weapons arsenal is not land-based. The US actually ordered those troops to do anything within 15 minutes missiles could be headed to the US. Although the smarter option would be to have the subs manoeuvre to just off the US coast and then launch. Very little time to respond then.

I’m not saying that would definitely be the response but it’s a hell of a risk for the US to take. I would hope that someone in the US military has enough brains to countermand that order.

I always find it funny that they think Trump looks like a badass or something. No, he looks like a cowardly geriatric asshole who shits his pants.

The trump mugshot that people put in shirts must’ve been the 25th shot they took. What a vain asshole.
