I actually use lemmy waaay more than I ever used Reddit.
the crowd here reminds me of the 2010s reddit. I vibe with people better even when there is disagreements. Reddit doesn’t even feel like “le reddit” anymore.

This is me. RiF is Fun for Reddit is Fun for Reddit stopped working, I went to Lemmy and never looked back. Voyager is great. I like it more here.

For me it was Connect. Scratched that RiF itch juuuust right, and still does.
I left Reddit after the API broke down, and it took me a while to get a client because I first went with Kbin and it didn’t work with Lemmy clients. After I got to Lemmy I kept waiting for Sync to get good. Nah, sadly not. Switched to Connect, and later Voyager, and I think this is where it’s at.
I have my home feed sorted by Top in the past 12 Hours, which helps limit how much time I spend on here. Unfortunately, my stupid monkey brain will see all the posts in that feed, close the app, then immediately reopen it as if I’ll see new posts.
I do the exact same thing. After I’ve done that a few times, I’ll go “well let’s see what’s on Hot instead”.
